About
Twenty-five years of restlessness, from Naples to London and back to Italy.

1999-2007 · Naples, Italy
Curiosity with a compiler
I started building for the web in 2000 while studying Computer Science at the University of Naples Federico II, and spent my research years teaching machines to cluster galaxies and correct spelling — machine learning before it was cool. The web won: by 2006 I was shipping CMS-driven sites and had fallen into Drupal, deeply.
2008-2021 · London, England
The enterprise years
London gave me the big rooms: migrating The Economist off ColdFusion, rebuilding the ITV Player, and five years at the British Council turning 150+ country sites into one platform — where I argued for engineering best practices until they stuck. In 2012 I founded Artetecha Ltd, my solo consultancy, and spent seven years advising enterprises and public institutions on architecture, agile delivery, and modern dev workflows. I was doing 12-factor, JAMStack, and GraphQL APIs before most slide decks were.
2019–2021
Architecture at scale
As Application Architect at comparethemarket I helped steer one of the UK’s largest microservices estates, then joined WordPress VIP as Enterprise Platform Engineer for the transition to Kubernetes — closing the loop on a career that started with a blog engine.

Upsun, and Italy
Since 2021 I’ve been at Upsun (formerly Platform.sh), where I’m a Strategic Solutions Engineer for the channel and partner ecosystem: designing cloud architectures with agencies, launching OEM products, writing competitive strategy, and leading AI-first transformations of how solutions engineering works. I moved back to Italy, where Artetecha continues as my professional practice — Partita IVA and all.
